Bid for a Model Pictures

Like I promise I am publishing some helpers of ASA pictures. People that help modeling, bidding and making this fantastic event a success. All the help provide more than 260 thousand Lindens. This might be a small help for Real Life but it is a big effort for Second Life and all avatar that contributed. Unfortunately most of the helpers didn’t send me their picture on time for the post. I apologies, but I needed to post this important event right away.

I want to make especial thank to LiamL Darwin and Kram Sadofsky. Kram not only bid me but also more 12 beautiful models. He was fortunate to win 13 beautiful models during the Autism Auction.

Liam was the higher bidder. He donated more than 32,900 L!! The bid for a model fundraiser was important because it held the potential to raise a lot of money for Autism in a very short time. Mr Darwin told me he was honored to be able to be a small part in this very successful fundraiser. The models have given so much of their time, offering the 2 hour date, plus contacting friends and others to generate bids for such an important cause, he said.

First of all, Darwin was glad to be able to contribute, and honored to have played a part in making the winning model the top fundraiser in this event. Darwin bid Saffire Jaxxon and on his own words; “Saffire has a wonderful heart and when she's going to help a cause such as autism, she's always willing to go for it. She's a genuinely caring individual, and I'm honored to have been a part of her successful efforts raising funds for autism.”

I would like to thank you all for the ball party event, lovely music and interesting people. The best of the party was the fact we were having fun helping RL persons.

I am looking forward for meeting you all again soon. Thank you all for helping ASA and for sending me your nice pictures.

Some days ago I post the bid for a model event. The Bid for a model was a serious and success event. I am very proud to help charity and now everyone can have some fun time.

Bradesco celebrates Japanese immigration

The 100th Anniversary of Japanese Immigration to Brazil is celebrated at the Bradesco Cultural Center in Second Life with a creative recreation of icons and scenery along with a fusion with the traditional Brazilian Junine Party, renamed as "Rokugatsu Matsuri" (literally, Junine Party). The festival will take place on June, 18, starting at 8 PM (04:00PM PDT) with in-world games and prizes, costume festival and even a virtual karaoke. Participants will be awarded special prizes offered by Livraria Cultura and the São Paulo Convention and Visitors Bureau. Complete program at www.fl2.com.br/bradesco.

Sana Models Charity Fasion Show

There is a prophecy in the Old Testament that reads "to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness". It is this bit of the Bible that inspired Abbie Reinard to pursue a SecondLife career in fashion. "I've been working my hiney off in the SecondLife fashion world raising awareness and funds for a tiny AIDS orphanage in western Kenya," she says of her several months of effort. "One of my hopes has been to find someone to host a fabulous event showcasing SecondLife beauty and fashion creativity. Keely LeFavre and Sana Models are being wonderful and bringing this dream to life!"

The charity fashion show will take place on June 1st around mid-afternoon SLT at the lovely Sana Mall. The show will consist of 6 of the hottest SL models showing creations from 4 amazing SL Designers. Immediately after the show, an auction will take place for one outfit from each designer. All donations and proceeds will go directly to the Maseno Project.

The show promises to be something truly special and has attracted designers who rank among the most elite in Second Life's fabulously thriving digital fashion industry: Callie Cline (Callifornia), Giana Paine (GiGi couture) Sissy Pessoa (BAIASTICE) and Bianca Foulon (biancaF.) Omnia Oh (Beauty Avatar). Each designer is showcasing at least 1 outfit that will be exclusively available for auction after the show.

"I love this show that Keely and Abbie are arranging. It's a wonderful opportunity to use my designs to make a real difference for these children." Garments of praise? Indeed yes! Abbie's excitment is evident, "This event will make such a huge difference in the lives of over 30 children who lost their parents to disease. Keely and I are amazed by the generosity of these stunning designers."

The Maseno Project is an intimate charity whereby people's donations make significant impact on particular lives. "Large charities are incredible and can accomplish so many amazing things! But we still need to pursue more intimate connections with personal relationship. Many small charities would simply dissappear without individuals who come alongside them," says Abbie. Due to the AIDS pandemic, a small village 20 miles west of Maseno has a large number of orphans. Most of these orphans have no means of support from either relatives or the local community. Among the necessities are: proper education, food, basic health care. This is a self-funded integrated community based project to establish education bursary plans for orphans, youth, the destitute and special cases such as the blind, deaf and the lame. And provide health care for the above groups. The centre has one ongoing activity early childhood education program which has 30 children, mainly orphans.

VIP LINDEN PARTY

I was invited for a VIP party from linden’s lab. Like the French say “la crème de la crème” and I got all exited!! This is a Second Life concierge-level resident’s party. Or let’s say a festivity for special clients that pay Linden Lab 125 USD or more each month. (http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/03/08/what-are-you-doing-next-saturday/)
Of course I can’t talk about all nice people that I meet, remorsefully. But I would like to introduce nice VIP people. Oh! I was looking for Anshe Chung. Someone told me she was around there somewhere. Sorry I couldn’t interview her this time. Oh for does that don’t know Anshe is the richest person on second life, earned more than a million dollars and one of the guest of the party.

Anshe Chung is the main avatar (online personality) of Ailin Graef in the online world Second Life. Referred to as the "Rockefeller of Second Life" by a CNN journalist, she has built an online business that engages in development, brokerage, and arbitrage of virtual land, items, and currencies, and has been featured in a number of prominent magazines such as Business Week, Fortune and Red Herring.

Just arrived at the party on Mount Olympus ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/Mount%20Olympus/128/128/0 ) and I meet Wildstar Beaumont a very handsome Greek God, but he was from Italy. I also meet a lot of nice and intelligent people. Like the Makwa and Clowey Greenwood. Clowey is working on the educational island Biome for Northern Michigan University with her husband's help. This island is to enjoy, learn about biodiversity and for them to hold classes as well open to the public. She was so nice to invite me in a tour on her virtual University. I will cover that soon I am sure.

This is Laura Ophelia and me dancing. This girl is so nice… she is an island owner and a very nice person. We talked about a lot of things while dancing even about economy. No wonder she is a successful landlord. She is very intelligent and bright.

Geno Zhichao, Ash Klata and Zeus Argus they are business partners. Geno Zhichao is the owner of Firmament Island and has order two more new island and, Zeus is his partner in the rental company called Platinum Properties. They liked to dance with me. Thank you for dancing with me. Stu Source is a software guy and he keeps the bad guys out. Well he has an island. The Sunbelt Island is a fun place to have parties, hang out and relax in the tropical island climate. He also have the Sunbelt software company ( http://www.sunbelt-software.com/ ). Hi is creating firewalls and antivirus that he sells on his SIM. Of course we dance together. He is a polyglot, a computer genius, love Sci-Fi and know how to have fun too. Well he is from Florida. I bet his Island is hot!!

I was curious to see how the VIPs have fun. People say that VIP party is boring and tedious. However the ones I meet are intelligent and bright people. They know how to have fun and have beautiful avatar. Some estrange ones, like this dragon, but well they have money and creativity. What else to say.

Finally I meet Fleche Xeno. He is the jelly on my side. He wasn’t a jelly before he meets me. He was a very handsome male avatar. Well I think maybe I melt him in a jelly when he started to dance with me. Laughs!!! I am kidding. Please, no need to call the ambulance, he is fine. He is owner of the f(x) Marketing Management a consulting firm inside SL. On real life he is an art curator, business consultant (MBA) and communicator (Philosophy Degree, Strategic Consulting). Wow! Good catch ladies!!! He is not a jelly I assure that.

What I realize is that second life creates an innovative atmosphere and a place where intelligent motivated people around the world can meet each other. How could I meet this people if SL didn’t exist? Maybe what makes them rich people isn’t their money, but their inquisitive inside soul. I mean isn’t Second Life a mind world? For me the soul is essential and more important than body exterior. Maybe we are control by our genes. I know that human evolution lead us to considerate body aspects more important. That isn’t bad at all. Well think that when we choose a partner indirectly we are aiming a good husband for our child and a fertile female to give a healthy of offspring. That’s way cosmetic and beauty industry grows so much. Maybe with the modern genetic this isn’t so important anymore. Maybe with genetic manipulation and the Human Genome Project we are giving a step into what really worth. Inside Second Life it is not different, but here a special soul can make the difference. You can easier have a nice outfit here than in real life. But isn’t easy to achieve a beautiful soul on real or second life.
